The 10th International Airborne Wind Energy Conference (AWEC 2024) was held on 24-26 April 2024 at the Campus Puerta de Toledo of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, in Madrid, Spain.

The 10th edition of the event followed earlier conferences in Chico, Stanford, Leuven, Hampton, Berlin, Delft, Freiburg, Glasgow, and Milan, and hosted international experts from academia and industry to present their ideas and share the latest outcomes from their research during the three days of the conference.

The Airborne Wind Energy Conference started in 2009 with the purpose of gathering leading scientists, researchers, and entrepreneurs from the emerging field of airborne wind energy to present their latest findings and achievements in slide and poster presentations and panel discussions. Since 2019, the conference is jointly organised with the European Academy of Wind Energy (EAWE), Airborne Wind Europe and Delft University of Technology.
